The major usefulness of shea nut is the oil content which is the most crucial element of the shea nut as that component is an important ingredient in the composition of the butter that goes into Cocoa Butter Equivalents and other by-products. Shea Nut is a profitable commodity,if you are importing it to Europe, especially Sweden,Denmark and UK. Also, the Japanese market is a high selling point for Shea Nut.

2. Shea Butter: Shea butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory colored natural fat extracted from Shea Nut (the nut discussed above). The name 'Shea Butter' is a short form of 'Shea nut Butter'.The tree is also called "The Karite tree",in most french speaking countries which means 'the tree of life'. It is called this name because of the numerous healing characteristics it possesses.  Shea Butter business is a lucrative business in America and Europe. Industrially, shea butter is used in cosmetics production of moisturizer creams, emulsions, hair conditioners and other cosmetic products. It is also used in soap making, substitute for cocoa butter equivalent (CBE) in the confectionery industry, pharmaceutical industries because of it's healing properties,plastic industry and  energy industry.

In addition to this, cashew nutshell liquid (CNSL), a by-product of processing cashew, is mostly composed of anacardic acids. These acids have been used effectively against tooth abscesses due to their lethality to bacteria.
